Forbidden Planet
1956. Strarring Walter Pidgeon, Anne Francis and Leslie
Nielsen. “Forbidden Planet” was MGM’s first big-budget sci-
fi fllm, complete with cutting edge special effects and a
plot based on Shakespeare’s The Tempest, but set in the
23rd century. The wonderful poster is unfortunately
censored by the Irish distributor with Anne Francis’ body
covered in blue poster paint.
