Manor, Co. Fermanagh
Album relating to the life and social circle of Ethel Emerson Tennent of
Tempo Manor, Tempo, Co. Fermanagh. Including photographs of Tempo
Manor in 1891, Sea Park (Sligo), St. Angelo, Ballycassidy, Innis Rath
Castle Taylor (Galway) & Blessingbourne. Also almost 400 autographs
from people in her social circle and two drawings. Ethel Emerson
Tennent was the daughter of Sir William Emerson Tennent. In June, 1893
she married Sir (Herbert) Charles Arthur Langham. She died in 1951. 11 x

1887-1910: County Carlow estate documents relating to the
Hamilton Estate of Baron Holmpatrick
Collection of documents relating to part of the Hamilton Carlow Estate
from circa 1887-1910. Including deed dated 1877 assinging Erindale to
James Dolan of Bennkerry, Carlow, a Yeoman, another titled the
"Surrender of Erindale" by James to Dolan to The Right Hon. Ion T.
Hamilton. An architect's plan by Frederick Shaw of Drogheda dated 1895
with proposed additions and alterations to Erindale House, which was
built in 1810 and originally owned by the Duke of Wellington. Also other
documents including letters from architects, from a Major Strickland of

Salver engraved with decorative border and the crest of the famous City
of Dublin Steam Packet Company, which lost two steamers sunk by the

1892 (8 August) Cork Justice of the Peace commission document for
John P. Tayler
Print with manuscript insertions.
County Cork interest single leaf parchment document of commission for
the appointment of John Parker Tayler to be a Justice of the Peace for
County Cork. Complete with green seal depicting Queen Victoria. John P.
Tayler was born in 1835 and resided at Rock Lodge, Monkstown, Cork. He
died in 1896 and is buried in Passage West.
Other Notes: County Cork interest single leaf parchment document of
commission for the appointment of John Parker Tayler to be a Justice of
the Peace for County Cork. Complete with green seal depicting Queen
