large and very good to nice copy, with the attractive small
engraved book label of Dublin booksellers Grant, Bolton & Co.
Theodoret of Cyrus, c. 393-c. 460, an important writer in the domains
of exegesis, dogmatic theology, church history and ascetic theology. His
Christological opinions have been a matter of controversy, but it is now
conceded that he held Nestorian views but abandoned them circa 451.
His historical works are important for the many authentic documents
used in them.

binding strong and the joints secure: internally very good.
An uncommon edition of one of the best-known christian books of
devotion: an edition not in COPAC and recorded in Worldcat by the BL
copy only - which they date as 1720.
