A substantial work. Althaus (1833-1900), the first to employ electrolysis
for medical purposes, took his degree at Berlin in 1855, worked with
Charcot in Paris and later settled in London where he was instrumental
in founding the Regent’s Park Hospital for Epilepsy and Paralysis.
