Both ESTC and COPAC have only the BL copy. Conforto (1727-65)
wrote this adaptation from Metastasio for the San Carlo theatre,
Naples in 1750. Its success secured him appointment as court
composer in Madrid. It ran for eleven nights at the King’s Theatre,
London during March, 1757.
