on title: small portion of calf on both boards eaten but binding
sound and strong, otherwise a very good copy.
Bentley 730. The plates were engraved by Blake to whom Hayley had
been introduced by John Flaxman, the sculptor and designer. Mary Ann
(Maria) Flaxman, his half-sister, is best known for the six designs here
first published.
