circa 1920: Canadian interest mounted engraved presentation whale’s
tooth
An extremely unusual presentation piece comprising of a whale’s tooth
mounted on a piece of sterling silver engraved “To the Padre from a few
of hia-as tillicums’ Further decorated with an image of a lady and
George V four pence pieces. The silver mount with the early maker’s
mark of William Maurice Carmichael of Victoria, British Columbia who
began trading in 1920. Recently mounted on a piece of engraved jade.
The word ‘tillicum’ was an informal word for friend in the Pacific

Full Case (24) Half Bottles Dunvilles Whiskey
Dunvilles Three Crowns Whisky was distilled in Belfast from the 1870s
until its demise in the 1930s. Good examples of this whiskey are
extremely scarce. These examples were left in a stack N” bonding
warehouse in Belfast from the 1940s until their rediscovery a decade
ago. This consigment was tested by whiskey expert Jim Murray, who
described it as “Beautiful, very intact”. A unique opportunity to taste a
piece of Irish distilling history.This lot comprises 24 half bottles in one of
the original wooden cases they were found in.

1973. Collection of Irish silver with the special Dublin hallmark
commemorating the entry of Ireland into the EEC
Interesting collection of 31 pieces with this shortlived (12 months)
hallmark, including a miniature tea set, bon bon dishes, ashtray, egg cup,
salts, napkin ring, etc., also 9 other pieces, mainly English or elsewhere,
and a silver box commemorating a Masonic hall in Ireland in 1969. Total
