A flintlock sporting gun, the barrel with slightly flared muzzle, named at the breech to ‘EGAN - PARSONS - TOWN’, the side-plate, trigger-guard, butt-plate, thumb-piece, front-sight and ramrod pipes of white metal, the side guard engraved ‘Bequeated (sic.) to - Patrick Egan - at the behest of his father -1778’.
