A finely carved Victorian sliding book trough, the base centred by a harp among profuse trailing shamrock and bordered by trailing shamrock, the folding ends carved and pierced, one with a figure of a bard playing a harp by a round tower, the other with an eagle in a shamrock wreath surmounted by a Maltese cross and flanked by a British ensign and another flag.
