WHYTE'S IRISH ART 28 MAY 2018

This collection presents works by various recipients of The CAP Foundation Award. This award program, set up by Tony and Linda Pilaro, began in 1998 and ran for 10 years. The award was given to two graduating students of NCAD, the purpose of which was to aid each student in their transition from student to independent artist. These works were part of a larger private art collection and have been donated to the RDS to help fund the development of the RDS Visual Art Awards. The RDS Visual Art Awards provides a platform for graduating artists as they transition from student into early professional career. It does this by curating an exhibition of some of Ireland's best visual art graduates each October and offering a prize fund of €30,000, including the €10,000 RDS Taylor Art Award.
