(45.7 by 55.9cm) Provenance: A gift from the artist to the present owner’s father, who worked for Norah McGuinness during her role as Display Director with Brown Thomas, Grafton Street, Dublin; Thence by descent The date of the present work is tied to the artist’s London address at this juncture. McGuinness lived at Bell Steps, Hammersmith Terrace from 1931-1937. During this period she would return to Ireland in the summers to her cottage in Donegal, where the present work was painted.
