A type-written letter dated 16 March, 1915, from G. Wynne, Auditor, Local Government Board, summarising the findings of his audit of the 1914 accounts of the Strokestown Union. He notes that the ‘Extras’ being purchased by the Hospital include a ‘considerable amount of wine, porter and whiskey’; attractively framed with a hand-coloured map of the Sligo and Boyle and Adjoining Unions’ Workhouses.
