30 Estella Frances Solomons HRHA (1882-1968) UNDER MUCKISH, COUNTY DONEGAL, c.1927-1938 oil on board signed lower left; titled and with artist’s [Grange House, Rathfarnham] address, original price [£8-8-0] on reverse; with newspaper clipping photograph preserved on reverse also 10.50 by 13.50in. (26.7 by 34.3cm) The artist resided at Grange House, Rathfarnham from 1927 to 1938 as noted in the RHA index of exhibitors. The label with this address verso thus dates the painting to this juncture in her career. A view of Muckish was exhibited by her at the RHA in 1932.
