The diaries 1853-1870; 1872-1882, in excess of 1 million words, written in Moore Park (County Cork), Dublin, London, the eastern US, and Canada (mainly at Lobo House, the family home in Upper Canada/Ontario). The earliest entry, dated July 1853 recounts his arrival by ship in New York. Fascinating detailed account of travel, purchase and sale of property in North America, building a large house and the social life of the period.
