(59.1 by 19.1cm) Moreau was born in Dijon, first exhibited in the 1848 Salon, and received a Medal of Honour from the Salon in 1897. He was made mayor of the 19th arrondissement of Paris, and in 1912 had a street named in his honour. His father was the sculptor Jean-Baptiste-Louis-Joseph Moreau and his siblings included sculptors Hippolyte and Auguste Moreau. €1000-€1500 (£910-£1,360 approx.)
