(35.6 by 45.7cm) Genre, Landscape and Portrait painter mainly in oil, Isaac Henzell was born in Sheffield and descended from a Huguenot family. He was first recorded as an artist in 1841 at which time he was based in Grainger Street, Newcastle. Henzell emigrated to Australia but failed to settle and returned to England in 1854.
