(26.7 by 40cm) Exhibited: Rasche Ripken, Berlin; Butler Gallery, Kilkenny; Catalyst Art Centre, Belfast; Volta Art Fair, Basel Liam O’Callagan’s work spans the mediums of sound, photography, video, sculpture and installation. Through the poetry of objects and the collision of sound and object, his work plays, grapples and reflects on the human condition. His work has been shown widely both nationally and internationally and is represented in the collections of the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Arts Council of Ireland, OPW and private collections Ireland & Europe. He has been the recipient of several Arts Council Bursaries. Solo exhibitions include - “if and then”which toured to the Butler Gallery, Kilkenny, the Galway Arts Centre (International Arts Festival) and Rsache Ripken Gallery, Berlin 2016. His exhibition/record ‘Bit Symphony’ at Temple Bar Gallery was enthusiastically received by both peers and critics. As was his participation in Dublin Contemporary in Earlsford Terrace & The National Gallery. He was selected for the 20-year celebration of the Irish Museum of modern Art exhibition, had a major show in the RHA and was short-listed for the 2013 Venice Biennale.
