SUMMER ONLINE ART AUCTION - Ends Mondy 6 July 2020 6PM- 10PM 181 165 Clara Irwin (1853-1921) PORTRUSH, COUNTY ANTRIM watercolour signed lower right; titled on reverse 5.75 by 14.25in. (14.6 by 36.2cm) Frame: 10 by 20in. (25 by 51cm.) Condition: The work is laid flat to the backing board. There are no rips, tears or creases apparent. There are some spots of foxing visible on close inspection. Colours remain strong. Clara Irwin was a regular exhibitor at the Dublin Painting and Sketching Club, Belfast Art Society and the Watercolour Society of Ireland between the years 1888 and 1921. The addresses supplied for her in the Index of Exhibitors include nos. 194 & no. 19 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin and Carnagh House, Castleblaney.
