The bearskin lacking badge, made by Cater & Co., inscribed Captain W. E Templer (later Lieutenant Colonel), father of Field Marshal Sir GerardWalter Templer. the cap with bi-metal badge and king’s crown, also a Sam Browne bellt with shoulder strap and frog. Condition: Very good. Field Marshal Sir GeraldWalter Robert Templer, KG, GCB, GCMG, KBE, DSO (1898-1979) was a senior British Army officer who fought in both the world wars. He is best known for his defeat of the guerrilla rebels in Malaya between 1952 and 1954.
