Provenance: Kenny Gallery, Galway; Private collection The present work, painted in the 1990s, is based on the theme of ‘monsters in the bog’ and is inspired by the landscape of the artist’s garden. The influence of Graham Sutherland and John Piper can be seen in Webb’s work of this period.
