Dublin] on reverse 14 by 18in. (35.6 by 45.7cm) Dimensions of Frame: 21 by 25in. (53 by 64cm) Condition: Surface dirt throughout. Cracking to jug. Some loss and pinpricks holes to extreme corners of canvas. Presented in original frame; unglazed. Miss Madeline A. Howes is recorded in the RHA index of exhibitors as ‘painter’ showing there from 1901- 1904. Her exhibits included three still lifes and a work entitled ‘Game’. It also records her address as per the inscription verso. Her pictures were priced between £10-10-0 and £25-0-0 in these years. €150-€250 (£140-£230 approx.)
