Luftwaffe dagger. 26cm double edge bevelled steel blade with maker’s etched mark, the white metal hilt with wire bound cream plastic grip, the pebbled white metal scabbard with two suspension rings, 42cm. Condition: Grip wire loosened, some wear to hilt and scabbard, very good. Italian Fascist Party, MSVN, officer’s dagger. Dress dagger for officers Of The Italian Fascist Militia MVSN The 19.5cm long , bright, steel blade has a 1.5cm ricasso, a sharpened blade and an unsharpened false edge, The hilt is made from a solid piece of aluminium, with a single curved quillon and an eagle head pommel. To either side of the handle are black Bakelite, one which has to its centre a gilt fasces, and to the other the head of a brass screw. Black Scabbard, Double Hanger stylized Mussolini “M” attached to a belt clip which has embossed to one side a Roman eagle. Scarce.
