Cheque made out to James Redmond for forty pounds drawn on David Latouche & Brothers bank, Dublin. The letter, dated 5 June 1818 concerns a letter from the Lords of The Treasury. 7.50 by 4.50in. (19.1 by 11.4cm) Condition: Slight soiling at the edges, very good. With leather scabbard, gilt brass furniture, gilt brass hilt with folding double shell guard, blue and gilt etched 32 inch blade inscribed ‘J. F. Plunket Solingen’, scabbard throat etched Brady, 43 Dame St Dublin’. 39 by 1in. (99.1 by 2.5cm) Condition: Some rust to the blade, gilt worn off part of the knucklebow, scabbard distressed, almost broken ten inches above tip; should restore nicely.
