16 18th Century 27 18th century pike head and socket bayonet of types used in the 1798 Rebellion. Wrought iron pike head, of a type used by the 1798 rebels, probably made by a blacksmith and a British bayonet for a ‘Brown Bess’ flintlock Land Pattern Musket (in use from 1822 to 1838) as used by the Crown forces. Condition: Pike head chipped at edges, some oxidisation, small loss at socket end; bayonet is very good, no discernible markings.
