(100+) 1830s to 1990 - Large file relating to the affairs of the Pack family of Kilkenny and the Pack-Beresfords of Carlow, Includes Address from Tenants to Denis Pack-Beresford upon his election as Member of Parliament in 1863 and his response to same. Numerous letters relating to service in the British Army, family genealogy, the families’ estates and businesses, rental accounts for 1902 identifying 26 townlands in Carlow naming over 150 tenants with several letters of appeal from some of them, with handwritten Grand Jury lists dating from 1813 to 1820s recording over 300 names and addresses in Carlow of those eligible to serve. Condition: Generally very good, well conserved.
