Dáil Éireann printed card signed by de Valera. Rare items from De Valera’s shortlived Presidency of the Dáil. Condition: Slight soiling, very good De Valera had been re-arrested in May 1918 and imprisoned and so could not attend the January first session of the Dáil. He escaped from Lincoln Gaol, England in February 1919. As a result, he replaced Cathal Brúgha as Príomh Aire or President in the April 1919 session of Dáil Éireann.
