Yeats’ biographer Joseph Hone and a neighbour of Orpen’s at Howth. Renowned as Orpen’s favourite model, she is depicted here in an Armagh Infantry militia tunic of about 1865, holding a shako of the Roscommon Infantry militia of about 1830 (see Arnold, Orpen: Mirror to an Age, page 285). €600-€800 (£500-£670 approx.)
