Noel Lemass, 3rd Battalion Dublin IRA, captured on July 3 by Free State agents and assassinated. His mutilated remains were found on October 12. Three fingers were severed from the hands, hair was torn out and to quote the Coroner ‘teeth were brutally torn from the jaws’. Also a poor condition Powell Press poster of the 1916 leaders and a newspaper cutting. 10 by 7in. (25.4 by 17.8cm) Condition: Folded in two, creases, the Powell Press torn and folded several times.
