DUBLIN, king’s crown, ERVII cypher, crossed lances and foliage scrolls, T.C.B. for owner on reverse of brass, downturn shell guard with ball edge decoration and central overlaid silvered wreath and crowned ERVII cypher. Brass crossguard and D shape knuckle bow. Brass crown pommel. Wire bound grip. Contained in its leather scabbard with brass mounts. Condition: Very good, attractive sword. Gilt brass half basket with fold down inner guard etched J. M. Redwood, lion’s head pommel, cartouche with king’s crown over fouled anchor, white fishskin and brass wire, blue and gold bullion knot, 31.25 inches long double fullered spear point blade etched with Gieves (London) and GVI, in black leather scabbard with brass rings and mounts. A very attractive sword in good condition. Condition: Very good, slight discoloration to blade, slight wear to leather.
