Noted for his bald head and deep, resonant voice,he is perhaps best known for portraying Lt. Theo Kojak on the crime drama series Kojak (1973–1978) and James Bond archvillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969). His broadcasting career began on radio in the 1950s, and his self-titled television series ran from 1963 to 1981. Ray Sherlock is one of Ireland’s top caricaturists and his work is regularly seen at the Bin Bán Gallery. Working in watercolours, Ray’s artwork features Irish musicians and politicians and other well known personalities.
