100A 1922 (22 August) photograph of Michael Collins, shortly before he was killed. Historically significant photographic postcard showing Collins in uniform with his head bowed climbing into his Leyland Tourer, surrounded by large crowds. With contemporaneous note verso “22 August 1922 at Skibbereen an hour or so before Michael Collins was murdered”. A clear image and probably the last known photograph of Collins alive. 2.75 by 4in.
