(14 by 10.8cm) Frame Size: 9.75 by 8in. (24.8 by 20.3cm) Provenance: Whyte’s, 29 November 2005, lot 1; Private collection The latter work measures 6.25 by 5 inches. Both prints were made circa 1948; edition unknown. Angel Alley relates to an oil painting, which sold through these rooms on 16 September 2003, lot 126. Also with this lot, an unsigned, hand-coloured wood-cut with a verse by W. M. Letts (“I like to know you hear the call...”), printed by the Cluna Studio, Dublin, 6 by 7 inches, possibly the work of Kathleen Verschoyle (1892-1987), Winifred Lett’s step-daughter.
