Final chapter in one of the most dramatic legal contests of the 18th century, turning on the complicated marital affairs of the elder Richard, Earl of Anglesea (1694-1761), who allegedly was ‘married’ to two ladies at the same time, and had a child by a third, to whom this inquiry found he was legally married when his child was born. Condition: Marginal worming, without loss; last 30 pp extensively stained, worn and reinforced, but legible throughout.
