Played at Dalymount Park on Saturday 17 October 1936. Ireland won 5-2! Condition: Faint writing in pencil on front cover and on team sheet pages indicating the score and scorers and a change in the Irish team, rusted staples, middle pages loose, otherwise fine and bright colours to cover. The German national football team touched down in Baldonnel Aerodrome with swastikas painted on the tail-fin of their plane and a welcome party from the Irish Free State Football Association awaiting them along with President Eamon De Valera and the Lord Mayor of Dublin Alfie Byrne. Condition: Faint pencil notes to team sheet, slight soiling to covers, the 1946 semi-final folded and stained cover, otherwise very good overall.
