Presented to James O’Connor, Quartermaster of Offaly Irish Volunteers by Roger Casement on his visit to Tullamore. Probably from the Asgard shipment. A very rare provenanced rifle used in the 1916 Rising and the War of Independence. Condition: Very good. Provenance: James O’Connor; Thence by descent to the present owner. Tullamore in 1916 by Michael Byrne, Esker Press Tullamore, 2016. James O’Connor was quartermaster for Offaly Irish Volunteers from 1915-1921.
