(30.5 by 38.1cm) Frame Size: 21 by 22.5in. (53.3 by 57.2cm) Kernoff visited Canada for six months in 1957 at the invitation of a Canadian businessman, whom he met and befriended in the Bailey pub, Dublin. He completed approximately thirty works and they all sold in the Hendriks Gallery in 1958. A work in graphite on paper titled Evangeline Beach, Kings, Nova Scotia, also dating to 1957, can be found in the collection of the National Gallery of Ireland, their reference NGI.7766.506 (Presented, Miss Lina Kernoff, 1975). €2,000-€3,000 (£1,740-£2,610 approx.)
