(40.6 by 35.6cm) Provenance: Oisín Art Gallery, Dublin; Private collection Liam O’Neill was born in Corcha Dhuibhne, West Kerry, Ireland, in 1954 and works in his studio in Dingle. Self-taught, his works display the Ireland he lives in, often showing Kerry’s coast and Tralee’s horse fairs and races. Using a palette knife, O’Neill represents the daily lives of fishermen and farmers and celebrates his Irish roots in a vibrant, impasto style, technique. He is currently represented in several galleries including the Oriel Gallery, Dublin and the Killarney Art Gallery, Kerry. €2,000-€3,000 (£1,750-£2,630 approx.)
