(68.6 by 58.4cm) Liam O’Neill was born in Corcha Dhuibhne, West Kerry, Ireland, in 1954 and works in his studio in Dingle. Self-taught, his works display the Ireland he lives in, often showing Kerry’s coast and Tralee’s horse fairs and races. Using a palette knife, O’Neill represents the daily lives of fishermen and farmers and celebrates his Irish roots in a vibrant, impasto-style, technique. He is currently represented in several galleries including the Oriel Gallery, Dublin and the Killarney Art Gallery, Kerry. €5,000-€7,000 (£4,350-£6,090 approx.)
