Visiting the Carmac stones, one of Brittany’s largest megalithic sites, Collins, while in his Expressionist phase, painted the famous Celtic rocks with different approaches and angles each time. This new body of works was unveiled in his first one man show with the David Hendriks Gallery, in Dublin, in August 1961. €4,000-€6,000 (£3,480-£5,220 approx.)
