(68.6 by 68.6cm) Ana Carey is an Irish sculpture and visual artist whose practice is rooted in a sustained engagement with the human form. She holds a B.A. in Fine Art and Sculpture, Combined Media, from the LSAD (2012) and cites her formative education at Marino College, Dublin, as central to the development of her multidisciplinary approach. Carey’s work draws on classical sculptural traditions while incorporating contemporary sensibilities, most notably through the use of bold colour. Alongside her studio practice, she co-founded the Ana Carey Gallery at The International Bar, Dublin, where she curates exhibitions and fosters dialogue between artists and audiences. Monster Deep Canvas is an exploration of the inner animal as an abstract self, informed by the influence of Picasso and realised as a distinct visual presence of Ana’s work. €700-€900 (£610-£780 approx.)
