(44.5 by 59.7cm) Mark O’Neill was born in Birkenhead, England, in 1963 to Irish parents. His father’s job led him to travel around the world at an early age from South Africa to Mauritius and Peru. After studying in London at Kingston College of Art, O’Neill returned to Ireland in 1988 where he focused his oeuvre on portraiture and still life. His paintings were included in various exhibitions abroad such as ‘Ireland: Crossing Borders’, Gallery Revel, NYC, in 1998 and in Ireland at the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Frederick Gallery, Dublin. €1,200-€1,800 (£1,030-£1,540 approx.)
