(240 by 240cm) Patrick Scott was an acclaimed Irish artist known for his significant contributions to the fields of painting and design. Born in Kilbrittain, County Cork, Scott studied at the UCD School of Architecture and had his first exhibition in 1941 with the White Stag Group. Scott’s artworks often featured meticulously crafted geometric patterns, luminous surfaces, and a restrained color palette. Throughout his career, Scott’s works were acquired by prestigious collections worldwide. His pieces can be found in major institutions such as the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Ireland in Dublin and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He was elected a Saoi of Aosdána in 2007.
