Of equal size, framed uniformly.

Maguire was born in Cavan in 1790. He went early in life to London, where he worked both as a painter

and a writer. He was for many years editor of The Connoisseur and the Journal of the Fine Arts. He died in

October or November, 1854. See Strickland Vol. II., p.85.

The National Portrait Gallery, London includes three lithographs by the artist of Paul John Bedford; John

Lawrence Toole, General Tom Thumb and Agnes Elsworthy.
