1753 Medal: The Patriots of Ireland The Speaker

and Liberty.

Struck in bronze on the occasion of the defeat,

in the Irish Parliament of the Altered Money Bill.

Obverse ‘The Speaker and Liberty’, in the central

reserve a relief portrait of Henry Boyle, later Earl of

Shannon; reverse, ‘The 124 Patriots of Ireland’; in the

central reserve a harp with royal crown. Exergue,
