1780 (29 January) America. West Point Garrison note relating to
General Knox
Single page manuscript note stating “Received. West Point 29th January
a bundle of clothing for general Nox, and two shirts for Captain
Savage". Signed by Samuel Cooper Quartermaster, 3rd Battalion
Artillery. General Knox was the most important military General in
American Revolutionary War outside of General George Washington.
Samuel Cooper was a 1st Lieutenant & Regimental Quartermaster in the
3rd Artillery Battalion of the Continental Army. Scarce item.

Letter in Grattan's hand sent from 9 Lukesmith Square. Written in the
third person and signed numerous times as "Mr. Grattan". Henry Grattan
the famous orator and statesman born in Dublin, was an opponent of
the act of union and the only Irish politician to have a period of
