and flyleaves: a nice, large-paper copy on thick paper.
Abbey, Travel, 91. A bright, fresh, large-paper copy of the best edition –
this was the only edition issued on large paper - with the attractive plates
in bright, fresh colouring. Of additional value for its details regarding
the Wars of La Vendée. During the Hundred Days, only two years
prior to the author’s visit, the Vendéans had again risen and contributed
in no small way to Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo.
