1778).This family, resident in Co. Offaly,
had a branch in Co. Leitrim. Label on reverse reads: “He married Alice,
daughter of Ross Mahon Esqre and of Jane, daughter of John Ussher
and had two sons John, died unmarried, Gilbert, married Miss Henry,
and three daughters, Mrs King, Lady King and Mrs Daly. “ Typed label
reads, “original oil painting bought by Hon. Lady Mahon at Ballylin,
[Co. Offaly] in 1935”.
