Rugby. 1978 New Zealand All Blacks touring team complete set of
autographs. The team that Munster beat!
Attractively mounted with a reproduction photograph of the squad above
the 33 autographs, 12 with club names typed underneath, the latter on
individual pieces, the remaining 21 on one sheet. Included are the
manager, assistant manager and physiotherapist. This is the team that was
defeated by Munster at Thomond Park on 31 October 1978 - the only
defeat ever suffered by the All Blacks on Irish soil. 23 x 16in. (58 x 41cm)

proclamation card “I will fight any of them, barring an Irishman...”
A proclamation broadside titled “A Card !” and issued by Dominick
McGlynn of Hazleton, Pennsylvania declaring that he challenges “any
member of the First Regiment P.S.N.G. (Pennsylvania State National
Guard) now stationed here to fight me a fair stand up fight in a twenty-
four foot ring, according to the rules of the London Prize Ring, for the
sum of fifty dollars or I will fight any of them barring an Irishman for
one hundred dollars...” Laid down on board marked on reverse “Reframed

inscribed by the author. With obituary tipped expressing regret at the
death of Mr G.L.G.Shaw, President of the Kenya Golf Union, murdered by
terrorists, Nov 18 1953. Apparently the author buried most copies of this
book in his garden to hide them from the terrorists, when he fled Kenya
during the Mu Mau uprising

1979 James Hunt Walter Wolf Racing Formula One suit.
A racing suit worn by James Hunt in his last year of Formula One for
Walter Wolf.

In 1979 Hunt had resolved to leave the McLaren team. Despite his poor
season in 1978 he was still very much in demand. He was offered a deal
to drive for Ferrari in 1979, but wary of the potentially complicated
political environment at the Italian team, he opted to move instead to
the initially very successful Walter Wolf Racing team. Again he had high
hopes to win races and compete for the world championship in what
would be his last, and ultimately brief, Formula One season. The team’s
ground effect car was uncompetitive and Hunt soon lost any enthusiasm
for racing. Hunt could only watch as Jody Scheckter won the World
Driver’s championship that year driving the Ferrari 312T4.
At the first race in Argentina, he felt the car was difficult to handle and
on a fast lap, the front wing became detached, narrowly striking his
helmet. In the race, Hunt retired due to an electrical fault. In Brazil, he
retired on lap 6 due to instability under braking caused by a loose
steering rack. During qualifying in South Africa, the brakes on his car
