Having previously worked on his tapestries with the world

famous house of Pinton in Aubusson, France, Knuttel chose to

collaborate with an Irish company to produce his 2006 limited

edition series of wall hangings.The Galway based weavers

Dixon Carpet Company, previously known as V’Soske Joyce,

have a reputation for colour definition whether the medium is

wool, linen or silk.The limited edition of wall hangings consists

of eight designs with only five editions of each available.The

present example is one of the artist’s proofs.

We are grateful to the artist for his assistance in cataloguing

this lot.
