Circa 1891. Charles Stewart Parnell commemorative

medal.

A bronze commemorative medal by Johnson. The obverse with bust

of Parnell surrounded by the words `Ireland`s Army of Independence

1891` and garland of shamrock and ivy. The reverse with the words `Let

my love be conveyed to my colleagues and the Irish people`. Complete

with green ribbon and white metal clasp inscribed IRELAND A

NATION” in raised lettering. Usually seen in white metal so scarce thus

and rare complete with clasp and ribbon.”
